FAQ
Can I legally sell (fill in the blank… raw milk, unwashed eggs, live animals etc.)?
As the seller, you are responsible for ensuring that your products meet all applicable laws and regulations for production, sale, and distribution. It’s essential to do your homework—check with resources like the USDA, your local agricultural extension office, or your state Department of Agriculture to verify the legal requirements for your specific product. If you need assistance in finding your specific area / state, we will try to assist you because staying informed is your best strategy for success!

Simply message the seller directly from the listing to arrange a meetup or agree on a pickup/dropoff spot. As with any online marketplace, always use caution and follow safety best practices to avoid scams. FarmPixie is similar to Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, so use your best judgement on payments. FarmPixie does not process any transactions and this is done directly with the vendors. Remember, just with any items, do due diligence and also wash all vegetables and fruits before consumption.

Payment is arranged directly with the seller. You can use cash, Cash App, debit/credit card, EBT (if accepted), or even barter. All transactions happen off the platform. You can always message the vendor and ask their preferred method.
How is FarmPixie FREE?
This is a passion project—completely FREE for both vendors and buyers, no matter how much you list or purchase. At FarmPixie, we believe everyone deserves the chance to start a side hustle or shop smarter by choosing locally grown, raised, or made food—regardless of income or experience.
Can I list events on FarmPixie? What kinds of events are allowed?
Yes! You can list any event that connects your farm or homestead with the local community—like U-pick days, farmers markets, tours, workshops, seasonal festivals, farm store openings, farmstand hours or agritourism activities (think hayrides, pumpkin patches, etc.).
Can I charge admission or sell tickets to my event?
Absolutely! You're welcome to charge for entry or offer ticketed experiences. Just note that all payments are handled off-platform through your own preferred method.
How do event listings work?
Event listings show up on the map and in local searches. They’re completely FREE to create and help your community discover what’s happening on your farm.
What should I include in my event listing?
Include the date, time, location, and a short description. Add photos and highlight any special features like food vendors, music, or kid-friendly activities to help it stand out.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule an event?
No problem! You can update or remove your listing anytime. Just keep your attendees in the loop with clear communication.
Does FarmPixie offer wholesale options?
Currently, we do not offer wholesale. We may offer wholesale in the future depending on demand for vendors and buyers.
